Job Description:

The Training and Development Manager is responsible for improving the productivity of the organization's employees. This position assesses property-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance. This person will lead in the development of our Organizational Effectiveness Department. •Development Role: The Training and Development Manager’s first and most prominent role is his/her leadership role in creating the Training and Development Department. In this position, the Manager of Training and Development oversees all activities of the department and identifies the business’s developmental needs ensuring there is consistency with core competencies, values and goals. This person will supervise the training and development staff to ensure they are delivering consistent results and championing PurFoods strategies
•Strategy: The Training and Development Manager plays a strategic role where he/she is in charge of assessing, approving and developing effective training programs and materials, making regular modifications to programs where necessary. The Training and Development Manager also plays a leading role in the development and documentation of the training path for positions within the business and communicating this information as needed 
•Communication: This role will develop and maintain organizational communications to ensure employees have knowledge of company information, initiatives as well as training and development events and resources
•Collaboration: The role of the Training and Development Manager is a collaborative role where he/she collaborates with Human Resources and Departmental Managers in defining strategies. In this collaboration, the Training and Development Manager assists company managers and employees in their training needs specific to their areas of specialty 
•Analytics: The Training and Development Manager is tasked with an analytical role where he/she conducts research, approves, and makes further recommendations for appropriate learning management systems based on analytical data 
•Organizational Development: This person will establish best practices with Performance Management as well as Succession Planning strategies as our organization continues to grow.
•Knowledge: The Training and Development Manager is tasked with the maintenance of knowledge in the training and development department. This person will oversee the LMS function of the organization. This person must stay up to date with the latest instructional technologies through the establishment of personal networks, reviewing of professional publications, and participation in professional industry associations


Job Requirements:

•Communication Skills: Communication skills are a must have for this position, both in written and verbal form 
•MS Office: A candidate for the position must be highly proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint, necessary for the creation of visually and verbally engaging training materials and reports for key stakeholders
•Analytical Skills: A candidate for this position must possess strong analytical skills as well as a demonstrated passion for research, data analysis, and the insights that are derived from it
•Leadership/People Skills: The candidate must additionally demonstrate strong leadership qualities where he/ she shows an ability to influence a cross-functional team and top management into following a particular course action
•Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Training/Learning, Organizational Development or related field is preferred
•Work Experience: More than 5 years’ experience in a Training and Development/Organizational Development role preferably in a HealthCare or Manufacturing environment
•Other: Innovative and creative thinker with good presentation skills and attention to detail; Strong analytical and problem solving abilities; Ability to influence and sell new ideas to persons at all levels in the organization
•This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops computers and smartphones
